King for the Day!

What a great king we had for our first one! We were able to use his name to have many little mini phonics lessons. He rules!!!

The New Year Has Begun!

What a great first week we've had. Our class has 21 first graders this year, wonderful kids and great workers! We had a great time getting to know each other this week and learning about the classroom. We were busy playing games outside, sanging some silly songs inside, doing a lot of work on our white boards and even got into our reading workbook a little. Each day's a new adventure!

Welcome back to school!

It's hard to believe that the summer is over, but judging by all the excited faces buzzing around the school the last few days it must be time to start another year. I spent the summer moving classrooms and getting ready to change grade levels. I'm now teaching 1st grade and am very excited about the things we have planned for this year. I've got such a fun-looking class, I know we'll do some great things. So put on your seatbelts, we're ready for action!
